The Faraway Tree Collection

The Faraway Tree Collection is a box set of all three children's books in the series by Enid Blyton. They follow three children and their adventures on the magical Faraway Tree in which elves warn them not to climb higher for at the top is a ladder that leads to different lands. Among these is the Land of Goodies, where house are made out of chocolate, and the land of Do-as-you-Please, but stay too long and you may be trapped forever.

Enid Blyton is the celebrated author of Noddy, The Famous Five, and The Secret Seven. The Faraway Tree is one of her neglected masterpieces. It relays a powerful message to children about temptation and the steps that need to be taken towards maturity, but does so in such a fun and entertaining manner, that children hardly realise that they are learning at all.
