Studio Mali 5 Ksenia Necklace

Studio Mali 5 Ksenia Necklace explores different shapes, patterns, colours, and compositions, across five distinct shapes. They are designed to compliment plainer dress and draw an observers attention around the face. Each piece is layered with acrylic paint and made from durable plywood. Wearers report each piece having lasted for years without any dents or any sign of fading colours. 

To us the Mongolian way of life symbolises simplicity in living, in living with less and for the objects that you own to be cherished and well crafted.  Many of the gers (yurts) in Mongolia have a wooden frame which is painted by hand in beautiful colours and patterns, inspiring the process of these earrings.  The shapes clearly reference the circular form of the yurt in a playful and bold way.
